Milo 2022.1 is Here! Now With a Fully-Usable VR Interface
News & Announcements / May 18th, 2022

Milo 2022.1 is ready for you to download!

For this release, we've given Milo's VR capabilities a big shot in the arm by adding a fully-functional interface directly within VR. The interface mimics almost exactly the desktop version, giving you direct access to most features within the application. We also added a special VR-only file chooser, which will let you select from files within the current working directory. (Just exit VR to access the regular file chooser.) This is a big step forward, but still just the beginning for VR in Milo. We can't wait to add even more features.

The update is FREE for all users who purchased Silo & Milo from nevercenter.com within the last year; simply download the new version from the Silo ...

Some exciting things will be coming soon to your favorite Nevercenter apps!

In addition to the recent updates to CameraBag, Silo, Milo, and Pixelmash (updates are FREE for licenses purchased from nevercenter.com within the last year—check your license at nevercenter.com/upgrade), we've been hard at work and have some sneak peeks to share about at what's coming up next:

CameraBag Adds Bokeh Lights
Coming soon to CameraBag is the ability to simulate the neat effects of bokeh on background lights when shooting with a high-end SLR. There’s a randomized element to it for infinite variations, but you can also adjust density, coloring, and advanced positioning with blur and light detection.

Silo 2022.0 Beta 1 Ready with Major Improvements
News & Announcements / February 1st, 2022

Dear Friends of Silo,

We are very excited to announce that the first beta release of Silo 2022.0 is ready for all current registered Silo users, and this one comes with some MAJOR fundamental improvements to the deep inner workings of Silo!

First off, we’ve swapped in Pixar’s OpenSubdiv library to power Silo’s subdivision surfaces. This means that on high-subdivision models RAM usage can decrease by more than 50%, and interactive edits to your subd models will work faster and smoother than ever, often dramatically so. Of note, with this change we’ve temporarily had to disable Silo’s displacement painting, but plan to re-introduce it soon.

Next, we’ve completely redesi...
