Silo 2024.0 is now available, with a brand new feature: File Instance.

You can now use an external file as an instance within your model, and any changes to that external file will auto-update. For example, you could create a separate model of a wheel, and then create a car model using file instances for the wheels. Then whenever you update the wheel file, the car (if it's open in Silo) will auto-update as well. This is a very powerful way to work and organize your projects into re-usable components. Silo 2023.4 is here!

We focused on bugs and optimizations for this release, but did add one very handy new function: New Window. This new command at the top of the File menu will open a second (or third or fourth) instance of Silo, allowing you to work on multiple models at the same time. We also greatly improved the speed of loading complex FBX files, along with the collection of bug fixes and improvements listed below. Give it a spin and let us know what you think!
